Is my donation to the organization tax deductible?

Thank you for considering making a donation to the Independent Entertainment Media Coalition. Donations allow us to provide for members, affiliates and aspiring media figures by way of our educational outreach efforts. Unfortunately, as a 501 (c)(7) non-profit organization, donations made are not tax-deductible. Thus, donors may not claim a charitable deduction under Section 170.

Are member dues eligible for tax deduction?

Unfortunately, as a 501 (c)(7) non-profit organization, dues paid are not tax-deductible under Section 170. Members also may not generally claim that the dues or other amount paid to the Independent Entertainment Media Coalition constitutes a deduction as a business expense.

Who’s qualified for membership into the Independent Entertainment Media Coalition?

As a 501 (c)(7) non-profit organization, the Independent Entertainment Media Coalition has the legal right to deny applications of membership. Independent Entertainment Media Coalition membership is reserved for active media figures or platform owner that cover in their reporting the unsigned/independent entertainers at the ratio 5:1 (minimum).

What is the Independent Entertainment Media Coalition’s affiliate program?

The Independent Entertainment Media Coalition’s affiliate program is a special invite-only referral program for content curators such photographers, videographers, graphics designers and more. The program allows curators to work alongside active members for the purpose of content development. The program allows affiliates to work directly with prominent member figures on both short-term and long-term paid projects. Affiliates retain all fees from projects booked.

How can I join the Independent Entertainment Media Coalition’s affiliate program?

Content curators interested in joining the Independent Entertainment Media Coalition’s affiliate program must submitted a general application. The application and the applicant’s portfolio will be reviewed by the a board of professionals. If approved, applicants will receive a welcoming package filled with instructional information.

Who is eligible to apply for the IEMC Budding Blogger Scholarship?

The Independent Entertainment Media Coalition’s Budding Blogger Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors that aspire to enter the field of communication (which includes but is not limited to online news reporting, podcasting, radio talent, video talent, etc.) upon graduation. The scholarship will help cover the cost of books at the educational institiue of their choice or assist with the registration cost for industry related e-courses.

The Independent Entertainment Media Coalition is open to non-media related partnerships. Whether it’s assistance with our blogger brunch & meet-up events, educational workshops or webinars, we’re always open to collaborating wit like-minded brands, businesses, and organizations.
